Icing

edit

Linesman will have discretion to wave off apparent icing infractions if they are deemed the result of an attempted pass. As of 2006-07 season. - darrennie 03:25, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Home Team Advantage

edit

The Home Team also gets to change their lines last. And I believe the opposition's center must set for the face-off first - darrennie 03:30, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Penalties

edit

Penalties are not limited to players, the coach or any other team member on the bench ie. assistant coaches, trainers can also be given penalties (bench minors/majors/misconduct) and in most cases but not exclusively are served by players who were on the ice at the time of the infraction. Also in extreme cases they may be ejected from the game.

When a penalty is signaled by the referee (arm in air) play is not blown dead until the offending team gets control/posession of the puck (tips do not count) so the "other" team may pull their goalie, and play with an extra attacker on the ice. If a goal is scored the penalty is not served. - darrennie 03:39, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Offside (sort of)

edit

The goalie may not play the puck while he/she is past center ice. - darrennie 04:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

This page needs a link to the Trushinski Bylaw, but I don't see an appropriate section. Raul654 (talk) 17:19, 1 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hurt player

edit

If a player gets a whistle because he is hurt , can he stay on the ice and play the next shift or does he have to leave the ice — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.117.49.15 (talk) 00:55, 17 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thru the net?

edit

I have never seen a puck go thru the net. I believe a goal is scored when the puck crosses the goal line between the uprights and under the crossbar. Probably has to be completely over the line too. I am not sure of exact wording or details Wschart (talk) 18:18, 13 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Merging Tuck rule (ice hockey)

edit

Orphaned article, well-cited but probably not terribly notable. Would work better as a paragraph or two here. 162 etc. (talk) 22:26, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
