editMexican Senate aproved a proposal for giving autonomy to this organism. However this is still an open legislative process. I deleted this section as well as the external links to the web page of the political party that promoted this proposal. It worth mentioning that I consider irrelevant to metion the political party that promoted the proposal.

editShouldn't the name of the article be "National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Data Processing" instead of "National Institute of Statistics, Geography, and Data Processing"? I think the comma after Geography is unnecessary. --Alonso 18:20, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
- You may wish to ponder the matters presented in the Serial comma article beforehand. At any rate, it appears that the article now goes by its Spanish name instead of a translation. 69.126.127.193 (talk) 00:19, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
