Merger proposal (February 2020)
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.
I propose to merge NSBM Green University into National School of Business Management. Both articles are about the exact same institution. I think that the content in the NSBM Green University article can easily be incorporated into the National School of Business Management article, with a simple redirect left in place. - Since both contents are same I also agreed to Merge NSBM Green University into National School of Business ManagementSenecamy (talk) 07:20, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved. The only oppose vote does not address how this would be allowable under WP:NCA, a policy which prohibits acronyms in article titles in most cases. (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe 06:55, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
NSBM Green University → National School of Business Management – According to the independent reliable sources, this is the official name of the institute.[1]

- Oppose: Both names seem similar in terms of usage. Per web searches:
National School of Business Management
has more usage overall (74), but less usage in news (14).NSBM Green University
has less usage overall (49), but more usage in news (38).
- Since wp:official name is not a valid policy for renaming, it can be discounted. Per wp:titlechanges, if there are no good reasons to change the title, then it should not be changed. And there seems to be no good reasons here yet. ~ Ase1estecharge-paritytime 12:58, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support - In accordance with WP:NCA, we should avoid the use of acronyms in article titles particularly where there other articles known by the same or similar acronyms. Given that the institution is officially known as the National School of Business Management then that is the appropriate location for this article. Dan arndt (talk) 01:45, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment- I totally agreed with the Dan arndt since this is an academic institute we should consider the name is used in professional and academic publications. WP:NCA policy is clear, in here we should not use any acronyms.
