Pre-nominals
edit@IP 49.144.114.244: Pre-nominals like "Dr.", "Atty.", "Engr.", etc. should not be added to the article as explained in MOS:CREDENTIAL. If you feel that Renato C. Ermita Jr. (the current president of the university) is Wikipedia notable enough for an article to be written about him per WP:BIO, WP:GNG or WP:NACADEMIC and want to write an article such an article, then you can add information about his academic of professional degrees, etc. to that article. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:44, 13 April 2019 (UTC)
Notable alumni
edit@Bullpups1988: A "Notable alumni" section is not a place to for WP:Namechecking individuals who may have either attended or graduated from National University; in other words, it's not a Who's Who type of publication for the school. Embedded lists within an article are still subject to relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines, which in this case is WP:LSC.
The most basic criterion for inclusion per WP:CSC is that the individual entry be Wikipedia notable in its own right, i.e. the person in question already has a Wikipedia article written about him or her. Then, the next thing is to make sure that there exists citations (preferably to secondary sources unconnected to the university or the person-in-question) in individual's article which established that they attended or graduated from National University. Those are really the only people Wikipedia is interested in and only the people whose names should be added as "notable alumni". The university's official website can as many people as it wants, but Wikipedia articles need to be in accordance with relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines.
The only people whose names could possibly be added as "notable alumni" even if a Wikipedia article about them doesn't currently exist are those people deemed to Wikipedia notable enough to have a Wikipedia article to be written about them. In this case, a citation to a reliable secondary source clearly establishing the connection between the person and National University needs to be provided for verification purposes. If you have any questions about this, please ask them below. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:11, 20 April 2019 (UTC)
