editBased on the information in the photo referenced in the link contained in the second footnote of the article, the Cambrian Mill noted in reference 2 on this page is/was in Llanidloes, about 60 miles from Drefach Felindre. The factory in the photo is clearly a different site altogether with the name being the shared element. That puts in doubt the veracity of the claim that the Cambrian in Drefach Felindre was destroyed by fire (although I seem to remember having read or heard something like that).
So I think that footnote should be removed and a "citation needed" attached to the comment about the fire.

National Woollen Museum → National Wool Museum – This is the official name of the museum, as given on its website: http://www.museumwales.ac.uk/en/wool/. "National Wool Museum" currently redirects to the city of Geelong in Victoria, Australia, where a museum of that name is located, but which currently has no article. Ham 18:07, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose – you can't take an ambiguous name that's already in use an re-use it. How about National Wool Museum (UK)? It does seem to also go by National Woollen Museum. Dicklyon (talk) 06:08, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Support with a hatnote along the lines of: BencherliteTalk 13:27, 24 July 2012 (UTC) Otherwise, "National Wool Museum" would either redirect to Geelong with a hatnote there pointing to "National Wool Museum (UK)", which would be a strange order of preference, or we'd have a dab page with two entries, one of which was a redlink, which again seems unnecessary.

Assessment comment

Section about opening hours, directions to site, etc, is unencyclopedic - have left it in place for now so that anything useful (e.g. location, ON reference) can be moved to rest of the article. Photo would be good in due course. Bencherlite 23:51, 6 June 2007 (UTC) |
