Lyrics
editI've removed the lyrics of the anthem from the article, as we can only include lyrics for national anthems if they are out of copyright – please see WP:NOFULLTEXT. Since the poet is still alive, we must assume that his work is still protected by copyright. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:31, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, but why are all of the previous edits going back to 2003 all blanked out? Surely just the ones with the 2006 lyrics should be blanked out. – Illegitimate Barrister (talk • contribs), 10:03, 2 December 2017 (UTC)

Situation in 2021
editCurrently this article contains an uncited statements of music currently being banned in newly-again-Taliban-ruled-Afghanistan, and thus there again being no national anthem. Is this likely true? Sure. But we have no reference for this so either someone finds one or we should remove this statement. - Honsgoc (talk) 03:43, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Honsgoc, Thanks, reverted the changes and asked the editor for clarification. — kashmīrī TALK 10:40, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Taliban regime
editWas/is there really "No national anthem (1996–2001, 2021–)" (or a semi-officiel anthem)? The article says "The Taliban outlawed music", but see Tarana, [1], Dawlat al-Islam Qamat. Apokrif (talk) 08:27, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- An anthem implies an official song. There was none at the time going by sources. That of course does not mean that people in Afghanistan did not sing songs! — kashmīrī TALK 10:42, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- One problem is that "The Taliban outlawed music" is not relevant IMHO (see the links I gave). Apokrif (talk) 00:35, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
