Ian Fleming in § World War II
editAccording to: Operation_Mincemeat#Major_William_Martin.2C_Royal_Marines, "Ian Fleming also worked in Room 39; he later modeled the characters of Miss Moneypenny and M on Bennett and Admiral Godfrey, respectively." Those mentioned being Paddy Bennett, later Lady Ridsdale, and Admiral John Henry Godfrey.[1] Dick Kimball (talk) 14:58, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

editWhy both of these paragraphs:
- The Geographical Section of the Naval Intelligence Division, Naval Staff, Admiralty, produced a series of Geographical Handbooks from 1917-1922 to provide information for the British Armed Forces.
- The Naval Intelligence Division Geographical Handbook Series was produced between 1941 and 1946 to provide information for the British Armed Forces.

Naval Intelligence Division to Naval Intelligence Department (Royal Navy)
Naval Intelligence Department
editI have copied content from this article into the creation of this article Naval Intelligence Department (Royal Navy) the reason for this is that they really are two separate articles the department had sub divisions that went on to form the core components in the creation of the new Admiralty War Staff in 1912 when the AWS was abolished and replaced by the Admiralty Naval Staff the (NID) solely concentrated on intelligence. This article was trying to cover both the department and division which is wrong they were separate Admiralty functions and appear as such in official Navy Lists.--Navops47 (talk) 07:41, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
The Book Collector
editI believe Ian Fleming founded a journal called The Book Collector. Does anyone know anything about it? Snugglepuss (talk) 17:28, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
