The reference #2 gives enough background as to why this magazine is notable. The sect within the Plymouth Brethren called the Needed Truth Brethren came into existence as a result of teachings in this magazine. The Gospel Hall Brethren, a distinct group from the Needed Truth Brethren also came into existence based on teaching from this magazine. They, however, have not always had a clear cut line of demarcation from the Opens within the Open Brethren.
