Ulu Panah is unknow to me. Must be refered to Ulu Pahang old name of Ulu Muar, that was not divised between Jelebu and Pahang but was absorbed by Johol (its mother state)--88.7.188.52 (talk) 23:01, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Which statelets have their own local monarchs?

edit

There's no mention about which statelets have their own local monarchs. Which ones do have their own monarchs? Can a list be provided? - (203.211.70.179 (talk) 12:46, 1 June 2011 (UTC))Reply

mini PSA on "negri"

edit

hi,

"Negri" mentioned in newspaper is not as English name or Malay name but more on editorial decision to shorten the headlines. This happens mostly in printed newspaper and may contribute to the usage of Negri by online-only newspaper. Feel free to ask your nearest local journo on this.

Demonym needs more credible proof. Find sources to back that claim or please remove it.

Please follow Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Principles when it comes to linking. , "(...)link only the first occurrence of a term in the text of the article."

Thank you. nMyghet (talk) 09:33, 4 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Negri Sembilan is the older spelling. There was a spelling reform of Malay in the 1970s to standardize spelling with Indonesian. Hence Klang became Kelang for a while (then back to Klang again after objections - [1]). Check the books, you will see that Negri Sembilan is the preferred spelling in older books. [2].
