Called the mayor in this article. But he's no longer mayor.

Whitewashing

edit

What about crime? How about an honest sentence like, "this neighborhood has the highest per capita murder rate in CT", or "come here any time of day if you want to get mugged."

Pictures vs text

edit

I'm thinking this article is a little overloaded with pictures right now. I myself have been waiting until springtime to get some new pictures of the city (and other places) because things will look much nicer then. In the meantime, could we please work on fleshing this article out with more text? I've got a reference site that I'm going to put up that we can use as a starting point. Thanks everyone for helping out! Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 01:39, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

North End

edit

I really appreciate the revitalization photos on the North end, but there are far too many photos for one neighborhood. Would it be possible to get rid of some? A few of the photos are the same buildings/ similar buildings at different angles. Don't be shy about getting rid of some of the photos I posted, but we really need to clean this up a bit. -Mexognosis- —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.222.210.165 (talk) 04:23, 16 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

Frog Hollow

edit

It seems as though the Frog Hollow section was taken completely from this website: http://hartford.omaxfield.com/frog.html Not sure if we should just site the whole section with this URL source or should it be rewritten so not to plagiarize. MathGeek06 (talk) 15:16, 29 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it needs to be stubbed and rewritten, with sources. Jd2718 (talk) 02:54, 3 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Frog Hollow Section Continued

edit

Also, it has been discussed as to whether the name came from the marshy land surrounding the area or was developed as a derogatory term for the part of Hartford the French immigrants lived in. I understand that the unsited source of this section says the former, but I still think it should be looked into the actual reason for this section to be called Frog Hollow. Without a Reliable Source neither should be presented. Jd2718 (talk) 02:54, 3 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
