a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Crierion 1a - prose
  • Lead: "he joined Ebbsfleet United, with who he played in the FA Trophy Final in 2008." --> "he joined Ebbsfleet United, and played for them in the 2008 FA Trophy Final".
  • Career: "Barrett started his career with the Chelsea youth system"; should it not be "Barrett started his career in the Chelsea youth system" or "Barrett started his career with the Chelsea youth team"?
  • Career: "He joined Dundee permanently after signing a one-year contract" --> "He joined Dundee permanently, signing a one-year contract"
  • Career: "he made a "surprise" return in a 1–1 draw with Burton Albion." - How soon after he was injured was this? i.e. if he was expected to be out for six weeks, how long was he actually out?
Criterion 3a - major aspects
  • There's no personal life information in the article, except that he was born in Tooting. Is there any other information available? For example:
  1. Early life, including siblings, school, college. Did he have any heroes/idols growing up?
  2. Did he play for any youth teams or his school team?
  3. Any mention of his lovelife? Wife, etc?
  4. Other endeavours, like a different job, charity campaigns, etc?
  • The Style of play section is short, although I'm not sure if you can add to it. If you can, I certainly think you should.
Final comments
  • I am placing this article on hold for seven days to allow you to fix the problems listed. If the work is completed before then, I will pass the article before the seven days are up. If no attempts are made to correct the problems, I will fail the article in seven days. If you are not finished within the seven days, I have no problem in extending the hold period to allow you to finish, as long as I see work is being carried out on the article.
  • To make it easier for me to see how much work has been done, please either strike each comment when the problem has been fixed or post a note underneath each item saying it is completed.
  • Feel free request to clarification on anything; you can leave comments on my talk page or here, as I have this page watchlisted.

Additional comments
Perhaps a bit of research could be done using sources from outside of the BBC? This could improve the article in sections such as person life. JRA_WestyQld2 Talk 00:43, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Final readthrough

edit
  • Having searched myself, I don't think that's there's any more information that is available for inclusion in the Personal life section unfortunately. I would encourage you to do periodical checks though, as more information could become available. Since the article now covers his personal life, albeit not in great detail, the article does now cover all major aspects of what I would expect to find in an article about a footballer.
  • As a result, since I couldn't find any other problems, this article is now a good article.
  • Please consider helping WP:GAN by reviewing another good article nomination. Help and advice on how to do so is available at Wikipedia:Reviewing good articles, and you can ask for the help of a GAN mentor if you wish. Congratulations, ♥NiciVampireHeart14:09, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
