Could someone please include an explanation of the meaning of the song "Nemo" by Nightwish? What was the band trying to convey? 24.239.183.115 16:32, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Lisa, May 22, 2007
Power metal?
editThis song doesn't have much in common with power metal, power metal is basically fast, melodic, guitar dominated music with an optimistic feel to the songs. The only thing that Nemo has is common with power metal is it's melodic, besides that it has a dark atmosphere and the main driving insturments are the keyboards/orchestra, with just simple guitar chords. That is why I am taking power metal off the genre list for this song.74.47.1.211 (talk) 19:45, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, but genres are constantly questioned, and changing them without consensus is not permitted. Caissa's DeathAngel (talk) 21:08, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
I was hoping that whoever kept changing the genre back to power metal would put up an argument about how the song qualifies as power metal, but you seem to have nothing. Why don't you go and try to find a source that says that NW's recent songs are power metal, that would definately make me stop changing the genre.74.47.1.211 (talk) 02:16, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- How about you try and find consensus for the change when the article clearly indicates that it must be reached, then I'll stop reverting the change? Caissa's DeathAngel (talk) 16:57, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
Little known cover
editA house cover exists for this song: Rhythm Punkz Feat Nun – Nemo (YouTube). Sadly it lacks notability so my addition of this to the article was reverted. I thought any professionally produced cover could be listed (and amateur covers if notable), but now I've learned about Wikipedia:COVERSONG. It makes me wonder if there is any place for this kind of information. I found it interesting as they took the song and converted it into a completely different genre, but I don't know how to find out if it ever made it into any important charts and even if it did that may not be enough.. I understand why it shouldn't be on Wikipedia. At the same time it feels like a shame because if I would look up the article on the Nemo song because I want to know more about it I would also want to know about any professionally produced covers. C'est la vie. W3ird N3rd (talk) 01:52, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
