Revised Name
editSynocnus is now considered by a junior synonym of Neocnus. Not sure how to make that change in the links from Ground Sloths to this page though... Doc Sloth (talk) 17:48, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Axing the Trivia Section
editUntil we get actual verification that Sid from Ice Age really was a Synocnus, can we not say that he is one? There were actually several genera of "small" ground sloths.--Mr Fink 02:39, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- All though Neocnus (pygmy ground sloth) was abel to mirror the same traits as Sid with some species having greenish primary coloured fur coats and sometimes possessing pink/purple noses as well as sometimes climbing trees for a medium short length of time and are know to rear up and walk bipedaly on there hinged legs in the same way as Sid at times and were capable of adapting to many different eco systems during the last glacial period/Neocnus also possessed a long fish elongated neck similarly the same as Sid the sloth's neck in all the other ice age films as we've seen so far.— Preceding unsigned comment added by {} (talk • contribs)
- Most of the preceding comment is false, given that Neocnus is known from skeletal material only. The fan-cruft from Ice Age is not appropriate here.--Kevmin § 18:48, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
