Proposal to re-title the article

edit

The title of this article is a bit ambiguous. Nepal and Tibet fought many wars among themselves. After the unification of Nepal by the Gorkha kings, there were three major warfare with the Tibetans. This particular article deals with the third Nepal-Tibet War. (Manoguru (talk) 10:36, 9 January 2012 (UTC))Reply

The 1789-1792 war was largely a Sino-Nepalese War. Nepal–Tibet War (1855–1856) is more clearly about this particular war. --Wengier (talk) 04:34, 27 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Correct dates?

edit

The background leads up to 1855, meanwhile in the next section article describes a war happening in 1800.

Which is it, i've looked at google books preview of one of the sources, but it's not clear on any conflict in 1855 which seems to have more support in the article... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Orathaic (talkcontribs) 04:52, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
