kay uwe boehm

edit

This guy Kay Uwe Boehm is just busy with his vandalism, on many nuclear subjects. rather annoying, he will be stopped. On the Germen wikipedia, he was blocked PERMANENTLY already after 3 edits. Why were the administrators on this site not warned at all ? 1947enkidu (talk) 10:02, 11 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

heavy tamper

edit

"On the other hand, a heavy tamper necessitates a larger high explosive implosion system." That is not clear. I assume what is meant is: "a heavy tamper nucleus". Even then it is not said why. I assume because the reflected neutrons are not as active as those reflected by a lighter material. But since moderation is time consuming this statement remains hard to understand. --Moritzgedig (talk) 18:24, 7 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I think the inference is that the size/quantity of explosive must be greater to counteract the increased mass of a heavy tamper vs a light tamper, but I don't know if this is true Zerohourrct (talk) 20:08, 4 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

What metrics for neutron reflectors ?

edit

What characteristics make neutron reflectors good for different applications ? percentage-reflection (for fast, intermediate and thermal neutrons?)? Energy loss ? thickness of reflector needed for useful reflection ... ? - Rod57 (talk) 13:02, 25 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
