Break it down
editIt might be good to split this into sections explaining each section of the process, and describe what happens to the neurons after each one. I know this is kind of how it is now, but it is a little impenetrable.

editSo, is Fourier time just the reciprocal of the highest frequency for which there is sufficient resolution? Perhaps an average frequency of some kind?
Can anyone dumb this down?
