GQ Magazine
editIs this article, which is used several times in the New Berlin, WI Wiki article, really even close to NPOV? Or legitimate? It seems to be a bit of a fluff piece about one sordid episode in a school's history with a number of questionable "facts". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.89.8.225 (talk) 05:22, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
External Links
editWhile it might not form to the proper guidelines, I think that the article is better off with the external links, as it refers the reader to additional information that he or she might not find elsewhere. BirdValiant 23:58, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- BirdValiant, thank you for thoughts. While I do respect your opinion on the matter, I do mostly but respectfully disagree. I have been reverting additions to the external links for the last couple of days by the anonymous user 75.86.248.96. Originally, the additions started by adding a controversial former alderman's blog and representing it as the "official blog for the city of New Berlin." After a revert, the additions included other New Berlin-related sites including the "official" New Berlin blog. I viewed this as nothing more than a ploy by the user to make the addition more palatable. All the links can be quickly found by Google searches or looking at posters (i.e. the veterans memorial) inside the city. Overall, the following should be done with the links:
- New Berlin Live Blog... - advertising; should be removed sheerly for that reason
- New Berlin Veterans Memorial - could agree to its inclusion but it should be integrated into the article
- New Berlin Chamber of Commerce - advertising for local business; should be removed
- New Berlin Public Library - could agree to its inclusion however it can be found in two clicks on the city site; feel that it has limited usefulness
- New Berlin Now - advertising; should be removed sheerly for that reason
- Please not that I will refrain from a revert of the page until there is a response to this topic or two days pass.

Which school is better, New Berlin West or New Berlin Eisenhower?
Economy Section
editDo we really need the economy section? It seems more like an advertisement for the banshe company..? --Jjegers (talk) 17:15, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- The economy section is just becomming an advertising section and has been removed. Jjegers (talk) 15:34, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
"Area residents put the accent on the first syllable of Berlin /nuːˈbɜrlɨn/, rather than on the second. They originally put the accent on the second syllable making it sound like the German city. However, during World War II they changed it to disassociate themselves with Germany."
Seems dubious to me. The entire population changed its pronunciation of their town in the period of a few years? More likely that as the original immigrants assimilated they began to pronounce 'Berlin' as other Americans. Burghardts (talk) 07:49, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Add Savitri Devi and George Rockwell to the article?
editSavitri Devi and George Lincoln Rockwell are reportedly buried in New Berlin. Should they be added to the article? If yes, then in the history section, or would it be better to make an entirely new section?--Adûnâi (talk) 15:32, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Addition of the Environment Section
editToday on March 22nd, I added the environment section to the New Berlin, Wi wikipedia page and added info about the recent oil spill as I felt that it was very relevant. This is my first time editing wikipedia and on my end my edit is in a strange box with an inconsistent font and font size. If anybody could help me fix that I would appreciate it.
