editI don't know if this is a notable bit of History but in the late 70s and early 80s the College was home to the Durham Microcomputer Project investigating possible applications of microcomputers in education. The project was led by D.K. (Duncan) Sledge and had an Apple II and Sintel (later Research Machines) 380z when I joined as a historical researcher in 1979.
