Your question.

edit

I am new to wikipedia and working on updating this page for the New Village School where I work as the Admissions Director. How can I fix these issues?

Most of this article is completely unsourced, and reads like an admissions brochure, not an encyclopedia article. A Wikipedia article must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Please review how to make an edit request(there's also a edit request wizard you can use). I would suggest that you propose small changes incrementally, and not a wholesale rewrite. 331dot (talk) 20:01, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
Understood. I am trying to add every article ever written about our school. I now realize I must request the edit. I have found an article and have an edit request. Please let me know if you think this is reasonable and helpful:
Cultural Events and Activities
The New Village School hosts various cultural events throughout the year, emphasizing its commitment to global citizenship and multicultural education. One notable event is the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, which began in 2009. This festival showcases Japanese traditions, including taiko drumming and mochi pounding. <ref name="Kushner2010">{{cite news |last=Kushner |first=Eve |title=Cherry Blossom Festival: Event at New Village School in Sausalito peeks inside a couple of Japanese traditions |url=https://www.sfchronicle.com/thingstodo/article/Cherry-Blossom-Festival-Tradition-in-Sausalito-3194608.php |newspaper=San Francisco Chronicle |date=2010-03-25 |access-date=2023-10-07}}</ref>
The school incorporates taiko drumming into its regular curriculum, with students from second grade and up practicing once a week. Meinir Davies, the school co-founder, introduced taiko into the curriculum, stating, "For the kids to experience strength in a refined way, not a brutal way, is incredibly important for both boys and girls."<ref name="Kushner2010" />  Other festivals the school holds include a Winter Fair and Festival of Lights. You may want to use the {{Edit COI}} template or the Edit Request Wizard when preparing your edit requests. That way, the request is flagged for the attention of editors who look for edit requests.
The problem with your requested edit is that you take the promo announcement published by the SFC and twist its already promotional message into an even more promotional statement about the school, statements that are not directly supported by the article: emphasizing its commitment to global citizenship and multicultural education — you need to be more neutral in what you want to add to the article and probably find better, more independent sources. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 00:41, 25 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
