Which Hooker?

Which Hooker is the scientific name derived? Joseph Dalton Hooker seems a likely candidate, since he was on James Clark Ross' Antarctic expedition, but as the expedition's botanist, so I'm not sure. Carolina wren (talk) 06:17, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

According to the NZ Department of Conservation's Threatened Species Recovery Plan Series No.17 it was him. Hase (talk) 00:24, 12 May 2012 (UTC)

Addition of separate section on species distribution

I have moved some text relating specifically to species distribution in to a dedicated section, including the results of an analysis of ancient DNA (historical distribution). Treburrick (talk)
