Non-free use of File:Newcastle United Jets Logo.svg
editA separate, specific non-free usage rationale is required for the use of this file in this article per WP:NFCC#10c, otherwise the image can be removed per WP:NFCCE. All that really needs to be done is to add an appropriate non-free a rationale which complies with all 10 of the non-free use criteria specified in WP:NFCCP to the file's summary. This can be easily done and I'm happy to do so, but I'm not sure if this logo satisfies No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI. Can anyone clarify whether this is the official logo of the Newcastle Jets FC W-League team and provide a link to a website which shows this? If it is not the official logo, it cannot be used in this article and a replacement will have to be found and used instead. Thanks in advance. - Marchjuly (talk) 00:59, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
- The team's official Facebook and Twitter pages seem to show that a different logo is being used. This means that the men's logo cannot be used for this article per No. 17 of WP:NFC#UUI. The women's logo can, however, be uploaded and used as a non-free logo and used in this article. - Marchjuly (talk) 02:51, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Roster update
editSuperJew: what source are you using for your roster update? I'm matching all current roster pages on team websites per citation included. Hmlarson (talk) 15:44, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Hmlarson: this source says "Tara Andrews will not line up this year for the first time since debuting in 2009. Meanwhile the Jets will undergo a defensive re-shuffling with full back Georgia Yeoman-Dale at Sydney FC, central defender Hannah Bromley (NZ) not returning and goalkeeper Hannah Southwell leaving football." Yeoman-Dale is also mentioned in Sydney's squad announcement. Cheers, --SuperJew (talk) 17:07, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @SuperJew: I see. The roster lists on the wiki team pages cite the team roster. As I'm going through updating team pages + subsequently the squad templates, I am matching them to the official team rosters. Hmlarson (talk) 17:42, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Hmlarson: Seems problematic at this in-between stage no? TWG does have a squads page too. --SuperJew (talk) 19:09, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @SuperJew: Depends on how you look at it I suppose. What would you propose as a solution? Hmlarson (talk) 19:38, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Hmlarson: So long as edits to the squad are accompanied with correct reference (as I did) I don't see the problem. That's what usually happens in most club squad sections --SuperJew (talk) 19:48, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @SuperJew: Sounds good - except I don't see the citation (except in the edit summary which is not trackable when you're working with 20+ players). Can you add it/them above the roster? I would like to avoid reverting other's valid work as much as possible. Hmlarson (talk) 19:53, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
