...but please let's not expand by adding an indefinite list of artists who have played there. Some big whigs are listed; that should suffice. More interesting (this being an encyclopedia) would be a better history of the festival. What I found in the article was inconsistent (it claimed the festival got started in 1975 or so) and unverified. The festival got started in a wave of other jazz festivals, no doubt influenced to some extent by the presence of US troops in Europe after WW2--a nice referenced section written by someone who knows it well would be great. Let's not turn this into the promo piece it was when it was nominated for AfD; no more references to picknicks and food, please. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 21:24, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
