Expenses
editI made an edit to the expense story only to found it reverted. I hope this new attempt is more appeasing Nev1. The only remotely controversial part I would guess is that you may argue that the story doesn't warrant it's own sub-section. With the level of public interest in expenses at the moment (cf. notability) and the Times headline "Expenses row: Tory reveals all", BBC headline "Wintertons broke expenses rules" and the citation itself from the Telegraph, I would disagree. Apologies for the amateur nature of the contribution and the messy history page. 82.36.120.58 (talk) 14:27, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Is this picture the most relevant/appropriate available?
editThe most prominent person in the profile picture as of 19/10/09 is not the subject but the late Ian Smith, former Prime Minister Rhodesia.
Is this the most relevant picture available? Is it even neutral and fair considering that Smith is such a controversial figure?
What about the picture http://www.dodsdata.com//Resources/epolitix/MPWebsites/Photos/m-p/Nicholas-Winterton.jpg at Winterton's website http://www.epolitix.com/mpwebsites/mpwebsitepage/mpsite/sir-nicholas-winterton/mppage/home-91/?no_cache=1 which is presumably usable?
I'm not myself familiar with the licensing issues about photos on Wikipedia. --Jmrichardson (talk) 09:40, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
In my opinion in order to be treated neutrally and fairly the subject should also be a fair person. The only people in the country who believe him to be a fair person are his wife and his children who are the benefactors of his diversion and sequestration of tax payers funds.
