How do I add this?

edit

|-   || Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera || 2015 (Malaysia, honorary) |-

No need to do so. It is an honorary award, which is not permitted to be worn on his medal bar. Richard Harvey (talk) 22:51, 14 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Full name

edit

According to the UK Parliament website ([1]), his full name is John Ian Nicholas Reynolds Houghton, but many other sources say that that is John Nicholas Reynolds Houghton (no Ian):

The Right Honourable

edit

As a baron, he has the honorific The Right Honourable. The place for this is the |honorific_prefix= in the infobox. Could Dormskirk explain why he removed it with the summary "not needed"? Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 11:38, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I agree that he has the right to use it. I was merely trying to maintain a degree of standardisation across military infoboxes. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 12:06, 6 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Awards table

edit

Twice now my edits to remove the recently added and severely under referenced medal table have been reverted. The first revert provided no explanation, and the second justified the revert because, according to the IP, the material "had to be added". I am not aware of any policy that mandates the inclusion of such tables. As I have noted in my edit summaries, however, the severe under referencing violates WP:BLP and WP:V. The table is also formatted in a confusing manner and the few referenced entries are already covered in prose, making the table also unnecessarily repetitive. Opening for discussion here, with the recommendation that the table be removed. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 01:48, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I agree that the table should be removed. There is no such policy that mandates the inclusion of such tables. It is severely undersourced and those few awards that are sourced are already mentioned in the main text above. Dormskirk (talk) 07:08, 28 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
