Talk:Nicolas Jurnjack

Much like other international hairstylists who have Wikipedia pages (Vidal Sassoon, Frederic Fekkai, Nick Arrojo, etc.), Jurnjack is an internationally-recognized professional who is a reference and influence for up-and-coming hair stylists studying his work. Both his backstory and career path can be inspirational to young people looking to get into the fashion industry. I met him and was intrigued by his career, and afterwards began researching him online - I was surprised there was no Wikipedia page and got in touch with him, looking to remedy that.

Further, there is no "sales pitch" aspect here - Jurnjack has no product he's pushing nor need to solicit projects. His work is well-known internationally, even if his name is not - this page is intended to connect the man behind some of the most famous cover shots in the world, and again, to serve as another example for curious people as to how a career in hair can come to be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by P.gherkin (talk • contribs)

Status and Advice

As reviewing administrator , I thought this not hopelessly promotional, so I declined to delete it. I suggest, however, that the article be edited to eliminate multiple use of his name (try "he") and to avoid terms like "famous"--they should be implied by the content. (But I do note that "promotional" means more than commercial advertising". The idea is to provide information to someone not a specialist who might come across the name and want to know something about him, not serve as an example of a successful a career or the like DGG ( talk ) 18:26, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
