edit- The Securitate once detained and then killed a parrot trained to say "Stupid Nicu". (That story is mentioned in the article Securitate.)
I removed this, sounds made-up or a joke. Re-add it if you find a source. bogdan ʤjuʃkə | Talk 13:31, 14 May 2005 (UTC)
- Despite mostly invented tales of outrageous behavior, people in Sibiu experienced an increase in quality of life after his appointment in 1987. More food was available as he restricted exports from the county, electricity and gas outages occurred less often. He was also considered a reasonable person and several people approached him with personal demands, some of which were granted. Also, he stopped the plan of "city urbanization" (demolishing the houses and building blocks of flats instead). Because of this he was appreciated in Sibiu.

A communist?
editI woudn't say that he was a communist. He was a typical capitalist-typed hooligan and a headache for everyone including his parents! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.196.183.213 (talk) 22:28, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
Name
editIsn't "Nicu" just a Nickname, and his real first name was Nicușor or something like that? Or is it exactly the other way round? --BjKa (talk) 16:01, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
Physicist
editIs there a source for him being a physicist, as indicated in the lead? All I see is that he got a bachelor's in physics, which does not make him a physicist (especially when you consider his mother's "PhD in chemistry"). Maybe whoever wrote it confused him with his brother? 73.138.3.167 (talk) 22:37, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
