English translation

Is it out? The text needs updating, it seems to contradict itself right now. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:59, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

Organization of the reviews

We should organize them - either alphabetically by author or (my preference) chronologically. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:38, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

One more specific issue

User:Szmenderowiecki - you included text on the Paris conference, which I've since removed [1]. The first sentence of that section claims:

The efforts of the government institutions did not limit to reviews only. During a February 2019 conference of Polish and French historians in the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS), which was discussing Dalej jest noc as one of the examples of studies published by a new generation of Holocaust scholars, an IPN representative demanded to speak on stage despite the Institute not being invited to the symposium altogether (this decision being decried among nationalist groups)

The source given for this info is this. The JTA source is actually really short (6 very short paragraphs) and if it wasn't a copyright issue I'd quote it here in its entirety. But bottomline is NONE of your text is actually supported by the source.

  • JTA says nothing about "efforts of the (Polish) government" being limited or not. In fact the word "government" does not appear in the article at all. What it references instead is "Right-wing Polish organizations"
  • JTA says nothing about the Conference discussing Dalej jest noc'. The title does not appear anywhere in the article nor is there any reference to the book made in the article
  • JTA says nothing about "IPN representative" demanding to "speak on stage". It only says that some of the protesters (not "IPN representatives") would "prefer" (not "demand") that individuals from IPN and Auschwitz Museum were invited!

I mean... honestly, I have no idea where you got any of that from. Initially I thought that your text mostly just suffered from some over-zealous original research and synthesis, but in this case it appears you blatantly misrepresented a source and falsely claimed it said things it didn't. Do we really need to visit WP:AE over this? Can you explain how you got YOUR text from THAT source? Volunteer Marek 21:32, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

User:Szmenderowiecki, since you've replied above, I would very much appreciate an explanation here since this looks really bad. You put in a sentence. You added source at the end to make it look like the source supported the sentence. The source actually said nothing like the sentence. Honestly, unless there's a plausible explanation for what happened here, this is ban worthy. Volunteer Marek 00:13, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
