GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria
- Is it well written?
- A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
- Anyway to mention his brother Leo Diogenes? Also why wasn't Constantine Diogenes (son of Romanos IV) made a co-emperor?
- Hard to mention Leo Diogenes exactly, without being off topic, I've added him to the infobox. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 20:31, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- "After Alexios I Komnenos took the throne in 1081" --- There is an eleven year gap year of political happenings between 1071 and 1081. Can make some mention of what happen in the empire if not specifics about Nikephoros
- Done
- "Because he was a porphyrogenitos, being born to Romanos while he was still reigning, he arguably had more legitimacy than Alexios." - Please rephrase. Arguably by whose' standard?
- Done
- "In her Alexiad, Anna Komnene describes him" --- Can you mention she was Alexios' daughter?
- Done
- "Nikephoros twice attempted to assassinate" - Did he personally attempted to assassinate the emperor or were these paid assassins? It would explain the later sentence: "Alexios became suspicious of Nikephoros". I mean if Nikephoros was holding the weapon each time, Alexios would have to be quite a dunce to only suspect after the second attempt on his life.
- He did attempt it in person, but was unable to get close enough to actually attempt it both times, due to witnesses or being rebuffed. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 20:31, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- "Alexios then arrested Nikephoros" --- Any reason why Alexios still went ahead with the arrest despite his brother's investigation? Did he find out about Adrianos' betrayal?
- No known reason, its possible he just wouldn't take no for an answer. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 20:31, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- When did Nikephoros Diogenes die? There must be a historical agreement.
- Unfortunately there isn't for all intents and purposes he drops off the face of the earth after 1094. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 20:38, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Iazyges: Can you indicate this in the body of the paragraph? As of now, that information is only in the infobox.KAVEBEAR (talk) 21:21, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
