editHi. The name Nikolai really comes from Niccolaus, doesnt it? Niccollo? maybe even Nikos, or Niccos? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.199.99.115 (talk • contribs) 08:21, 15 October 2008
What is this thing about "Goat Whisperer"? Never heard of this. At Nicola_(name) you can find more common meaning which is "winner of the people". --176.195.186.117 (talk) 09:45, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved. Taken together with the work done on the page, an excellent result IMO. I note that this move exactly was attempted as a cut-and paste in August 2010, and there was an even more peculiar attempt in February 2011. Hopefully, this proper move request will end these improper attempts. Andrewa (talk) 11:50, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
Nikolay → Nikolai – There aren't many cases where I'd consider the naming of a dab particularly controversial. This one was moved to its current title in 2006 per WP:RUS, a romanization guide. But "Nikolai" is a much more common form, well known in English and used by a clear majority of entries on this page. BDD (talk) 20:40, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support, as per nom, hopefully we have no controversy on this, this seems like an easy one. Red Slash 22:19, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: strange - almost none of the people with Wikipedia articles "Nikolay ..." are listed here. Wikipedia finds 10k hits on "Nikolai" and 6k on "Nikolay", so it's not really a "much more" common version. I've added a couple of "See also" links. PamD 13:03, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- Have boldly edited the page to make it more of a dab page. PamD 13:26, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Indeed, much more common in English-language sources. -- Necrothesp (talk) 17:27, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
