- The last two sentences in the introduction (as of Nov 30, 2021) are copy/pasted directly from this NASA webpage: https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/features/Nimbus. This should be rewritten or quoted. Mheberger (talk) 09:00, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
What is the operational status of these satellites? The decay date for Nimbus 5 - 7 is left blank - I take it these are still in orbit? Nimbus 7 certainly seems to still be sending back data as of March 2012:

editPresumably was a failed launch attempt - when ? Also had a SNAP-19 ? - Rod57 (talk) 12:25, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
NSIDC
editThe National Snow and Ice Data Center is NSIDC, not NDISC. I refuse to edit Wikipedia anymore, so I won't fix it myself, but if anyone else is interested, there you are. SimpsonDG (talk) 21:37, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Operational History
editWrong. Nimbus 1 is the only satellite that has decayed. Nimbus 2-7 are still in orbit. I'll let somebody else fix this, or else just leave the errors in place. SimpsonDG (talk) 15:12, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
Don't we need to add a Wikipedia article on the Project Nimbus, which many Google and Amazon workers are objecting to? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 02:50, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
