Talk:Nine-O-Nine

This page is overly confusing. References to the original plane (#42-31909) and references to the plane that currently flies _as_ the "909" (#44-83575) are completely mixed throughout the entire article -- it's hard to tell what refers to which airframe. The text here comes nearly verbatim from the (press release?) text that the Collings Foundation seems to publish for the plane, cf. http://www.mapsairmuseum.org/Collings/CollingsB17.asp Cdevers (talk) 03:04, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Ole Gappy" is mentioned in Wikipedia article RAF Kimbolton, although without any source cited. The claims (as written) for 909 are consecutive missions without aborting (126 or 132) and "most missions without loss to the crews that flew her" (140), while for Ole Gappy it is total missions (157). I have added a Note to this article to make mention of Ole Gappy and the RAF Kimbolton article. Dmoore5556 (talk) 16:30, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
