Merge proposal
edit- Oppose. This page can be much expanded with commentary on these figures. :bloodofox: (talk) 15:31, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
- Since this merge proposal was added a few seasons back and I have since rewritten the article (and added much content), I have removed the merge proposal tag. :bloodofox: (talk) 20:44, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Imdr
editI got redirected here after looking for Imdr, the name of a volcanic area on Venus, which makes sense considering planetary features are normally named after mythology.
However, I see no mention of Imdr here, just Imd which is reasonably close that I figure it’s Imdr.
Maybe the article could include spelling variants of the names of the Nine Mothers?

- Along with Imd, Imdr is a an anglicized form of Old Norse Imðr. The Völuspá hin skamma stanza in question should feature a list of the Old Norse forms of these names, I agree, and I will add them. I should also note that the names appearing in the stanza also appear elsewhere for what may be different figures, and there also exists the possibility that the Völuspá hin skamma stanzas do not refer to Heimdallr. :bloodofox: (talk) 10:30, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
