I'll get to this shortly.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 09:24, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
- Hi mate, I took the opportunity to add/finetune some info but I think I've done everything I need to now so pls feel free to have at it when ready... Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 15:52, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- No DABs, external links good.
- Images appropriately licensed.
- One dup link: Chief of the Air Staff
- Fixed, tks.
- Add the ranks of Watt and Williams. Is Reynolds not notable?
- Done their ranks (and McNamara's as well). I'd say Reynolds is on the cusp of notability, which isn't enough for me to redlink him or put him on my shortlist for an article.
- Is there a link for the Jisr ed Damieh attack?
- Not sure now that "attack" should've been in there and, no, there isn't a link to any such battle; I have linked the town though.
- Is 40th Wing notable?
- Yes, it's linked.
- Not sure I like all these members being listed without ranks.
- Assuming you mean the last para of WWI, I'm not sure I like all these members being listed at all -- I just left them in deference to whoever put the info there in the first place. If they remain, I think it's fair not to use ranks as that (and their units) in many cases changed during the conflict (Jones, for instance, joined the AFC as mechanic and private in No. 1 Squadron, and finished the war a pilot and captain in No. 4 Squadron on the Western Front).
- I'd be fine if you deleted them unless they're notable for achievements made while assigned to the squadron. I prefer to use the rank as of the date they were awarded/knighted if they're meet the criteria.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 11:52, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- Tks, that's all I need to remove the bulk of that paragraph, which always seemed tacked on to me. I'll probably work Wackett into the text proper (which will give me a good excuse to add an image featuring him, McNamara and Williams) and drop most or all of the rest. - Link Flight Lieutenant and other ranks on first use.
- My preferred method, which I try to use consistently, is to link the rank if the person isn't, and to avoid concurrent links by not doing so when the person is notable. Of course I wasn't following my own standard with Reynolds, but have since rectified.
- Fair enough.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 11:52, 8 April 2014 (UTC)

Done up to WWII. I'll finish the remainder in the next couple of days.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 11:14, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
- Tks for that. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 09:30, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
- The rest of it looks good.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 20:59, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
