Cambodia Bombing
editI added a line regarding the COSVN/Cambodia incident as I think it is important to note, but if there is a second confirming reference I would be very interested as contemporaries of the currently referenced author (including people "who were there" in some incidents in his books) dispute the accuracy of his facts. - Gday - yes this does seem to be an interesting incident if the source is correct. As far as I can see it isn't mentioned in Coulthard-Clark's "The RAAF in Vietnam". Given that you say there might be some dispute about the accuracy of the source I wonder if it might be best to qualify the statement by providing attribution, for instance "According to Plaster an aircraft from the squadron responded to a distress..." to be on the safe side. - If this isn't in the official history or corroborated by other sources it should be treated with a degree of caution. The OH obviously isn't infallible or the last word, but attacking a target in Cambodia would be a massive violation of the squadron's rules of engagement given that the RAAF was prohibited from operating anywhere but over South Vietnam.
