(No Pussyfooting)
editI'm not shure if this clarifies anything, but the discography at enoweb lists the album as (No Pussyfooting). As with the other albums here, the artist names are separeted from the album title with a colon but the title is still in parenthesizes. Also the artists are credited as Robert Fripp / Brian Eno rather than Fripp & Eno as appears on the album cover. Justin Foote 02:29, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Not wanting to harp on about this, but we currently have an article where the cover image of the album clearly shows (No Pussyfutting) as being in parentheses, but no mention is made of this anywhere else in the article. Which is a bit daft, IMO--feline1 (talk) 12:06, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- I saw that too. Most discographies on the web seem to label it either as (No Pussyfooting) or simply No Pussyfooting. I was just trying to add more information to it recently without getting to specific about titles like that. I've never heard it titled "Fripp & Eno (No Pussyfooting)" as it was before though...perhaps we should add something to the frontpage labeled "No Pussyfooting (sometimes refered to as (No Pussyfooting) is a..." or vice-versa. How's that?Andrzejbanas (talk) 13:26, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- But it calls *itself* "(No Pussyfooting)"! How can the album have its own name wrong? :)--feline1 (talk) 22:04, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, i'll get back to it when I'm feeling more wiki-savvy to have it referred to as (No Pussyfooting). But I think it is noteworthy in the intro paragraph to maybe have a sentance saying it's sometimes refered to simply No Pussyfooting without the brackets, because it is in several prints! Either way, I agree it should be refered to as (No Pussyfooting) in the article. Andrzejbanas (talk) 23:34, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
(No Pussyfooting)
editI don't want to get into a edit war over this but the title of this recording is (No Pussyfooting) . Fripp & Eno are the artists. Calling it Fripp & Eno (No Pussyfooting) is like calling the second Beatles album The Beatles With The Beatles.

- There is no need to get into an edit war, because I am correct and you are wrong :-D In all seriousness: the title is "Fripp & Eno (no pussyfooting)". This is a little play on words, meaning "Fripp and Eno (no mucking about wasting time)", referring to their spontaneous working methods. It is probably best said in a Cockney accent ;-) If you take off the "Fripp & Eno" bit, then there is no reason for the brackets to be there - you've broken the pun. To use your example, it would be like saying the Beatles record's title was "With", by The Beatles. Clearing this would be ludicrous: the title of that album is "With the Beatles" - it is a little phrase in itself, which doesn't work unless "The Beatles" is in it - remove it and you just get "With". You see? --feline1 18:53, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
PS No pussyfooting isn't an "Eno" album *anyways*, so it doesn't belong in the Infobox chronology - it's a Fripp & Eno album.--feline1 18:54, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
