I think it should be noted somewhere that Florida running back Chris Rainey beat him in a foot race outside of a Wal-mart parking lot...Not relevent you say? I live by Pananma City and it got up there by word of mouth. Shocked just about everyone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.178.46.250 (talk) 01:10, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not 100% sure about the date if anyone wants to correct it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Red Deadeye (talkcontribs) 17:19, March 10, 2006

If he's no longer adopted by Deion Sanders, then shouldn't the article be titled "Noel Devine" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.224.160.159 (talkcontribs) 15:21, August 29, 2006

yes he is the best running back i ever seen in highschool football since OJ Simpson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.11.14.254 (talkcontribs) 14:08, November 6, 2006

If he scored 1580 on the SAT he would have already signed a letter of intent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.101.65.103 (talkcontribs) 18:59, March 15, 2007

devine is my the best back i have ever seen but he should have been taken better in the class room !!!!! look what hes going trough now!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.186.192.126 (talkcontribs) 15:03, June 29, 2007

Wow, some of your Devine worship seems to be bordering on fellatio. 71.54.255.33 23:18, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

If Devine was born in Febuary of 1988, and his father died in 1988, whey does the article say he was one year old when his father died. This is contradictory. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.163.160.17 (talk) 03:29, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Stewart Mandel article from SI.com states that Noel was three months old when his father died. I've fixed that part of the article. --Scottmsg 15:06, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

This page was mentioned on air during the 2008 Fiesta Bowl

edit

The announcers mentioned this page when talking about Devine in the 3rd quarter: "he even has his own Wikipedia page". --A Good Anon (talk) 04:08, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I was watching the game today as well. It was Announcer Matt Vasgersian on Fox Sports during the 2008 Fiesta Bowl today (MST) at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
You can use this code to add the citation to the article.

It will produce this in the Refrences section.
Matt Vasgersian (Announcer) (2007-01-03). 'College FootballTostitos Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma vs. West Virginia”' (Television production). University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona, USA: Fox Sports. The redshirt freshman whose high school exploits can be seen all over the Internet and a guy with his own Wikipedia page resistanced the Mountaneers from the O.U.
I hope that helps! Thanks. Taric25 (talk) 06:20, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
WOW!!!! He mentioned a website that NO ONE who lives under a rock hasn't heard of!!!! BFD!!! What's the big deal? American Dad has mentioned Wikipedia and so has "Weird" Al Yankovic. Why are you so shocked? I honestly couldn't care less if he mentioned Wikipedia or not. --Crash Underride 06:35, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, considering it's not really impressive that he has his own page (it was only impressive to the commentator because he didn't know what he was talking about) it's not really worthy for inclusion here.►Chris NelsonHolla! 06:39, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
It's valid to put on a talk page or Wikipedia:Wikipedia on TV and radio, but it's not appropriate to place in any WP article. X96lee15 (talk) 14:21, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

(Unindent) Jeeze, people, chill. I just thought you'd like to know, that's all. Taric25 (talk) 06:49, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I give up - what does "resistanced" mean? --B (talk) 06:53, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Quality issues

edit

I revised the section concerning his high school stats as it contained numerous factual inaccuracies. Now, we need to revise the introduction section, the "College Prospect Status" section, and the "Freshman season" subsection under the "Collegiate Career" section. In addition to containing several factually questionable claims, the aforementioned sections are laden with both weasel words and slipshod writing. Utipossidetis (talk) 23:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

It says Noel is not black but white?

edit

Is this a joke? He looks black to me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dtmckay (talkcontribs) 19:07, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Eagles

edit

Should we even list him as being with the Eagles in the infobox? He was signed and released in a matter of days. Did he even practice? Niteshift36 (talk) 00:22, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

He did practice and was signed to an official contract. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:14, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
 • The way I see it, he could have been an Eagle for the entire offseason, still not make the regular season roster, and still have his association with the Eagles prominently featured in the infobox. By leaving out the first team he signed with, we are preventing the readers from seeing his full American football career. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:55, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
 • With all due respect to the guideline about citations in the lead, I disagree with taking it out of the lead. Given the speed in which he has changed teams and the fragile nature of the UFL, I don't see why citing it in the lead is such a big deal. Further, I really don't think less than 4 full days as an Eagle belongs in the lead. Truthfully, those 4 days aren't all that terribly significant of an event in his life. His college career is much more notable. When it comes down to it, we are making the second full sentence in the article about the fact that he spent less than 4 full days as an Eagle. Is that really logical? Wouldn't it make more sense to say he is currently at Omaha, then put things chronologically? Niteshift36 (talk) 19:51, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
