Johnston's first class
editThis isn't correct-I assume it means Johnston's first series of classes. Johnston's teaching notes and diary have survived at the Crafts Study Centre and Justin Howes wrote a paper on them. His students on the day he began classes, 21 September 1899, were Noel Rooke, Florence Kingsford Cockerell, Miss B. Hacker, David Horne, Herbert Brownlow, Miss Dickson and Miss Bollinger.
