gasdynamics writing

edit

Hi there,

Is there a special reason for writing gasdynamics without space in between? It seems that it has to be separated. Nimarazmjoo (talk) 12:39, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
It can be written in both ways. Even in many textbooks, it is written without space. Paolo Gajoni (talk) 14:03, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Gas constant

edit

Hi,

is the R constant in the definition of the compressibility factor Z the gas constant or the specific gas constant? In the linked article it appears to be the second one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Attonio (talkcontribs) 12:42, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
Yes, it is the specific one. I will specify it.
Thank you Paolo Gajoni (talk) 14:04, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
By the way, nice article, it faces different possible gasdynamic regimes and gives a clear idea of associates phenomena. Attonio (talk) 15:03, 7 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Observations and suggestions for improvements

edit

The following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following an expert review of the article within the Science, Technology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in July 2023.

I suggest to expand a little bit the "Non-ideal thermodynamics" section, by including more details about the equations of state for non-ideal fluids. An additional, possible improvement is a short discussion about acoustic waves.
