Citation format
editI cleaned up the citations so they use {{cite web}} and {{cite news}} (except for the first reference, which needs to be more specific than just one date in a specific newspaper). I'm thinking we should go with either the English translation of the title, or just go with the Japanese title. I'm leaning toward just the Japanese title since the only ones who will be reading the Japanese articles are those who can read Japanese. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 02:24, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
160.83.128.131, Stop deleting relevant info
editStop deleting relevant info. Firstly, no source has been provided for the claim that Onishi is the first fluent Japanese-speaking Tokyo bureau chief. Until you will provide some reliable source with citation the sentence should carry the citation-needed warning. Secondly, the sentence "Some non-conservatives in Japan have also criticized Onishi" that you keep deleting is a true statement and without it the following sentences wouldn't make sense. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is not a conservative critic. Kyoko Nakayama is not a conservative critic. Thomas H. Snitch is not a conservative critic. So stop deleting it. --222.1.41.25 06:32, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
The section "Criticism from Japan" appears to be much more detailed than any other information about the subject or his career. While perhaps properly referenced, this strikes me as WP:UNDUE in that it fails to "represent all significant viewpoints . . . in proportion to the prominence of each". Anyone agree that the section needs significant pruning? Bongomatic 03:34, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
