Notability
editI'm a little surprised that there can be any doubt about his notability.
I concede that the article could be improved and have moved a few things around and added an FT ref. -- roundhouse 21:14, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Link was broken, and all this article says is that this guy was a businessman or something. Don't see how it fulfills WP:BIO. Not a dog 03:18, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- The article says to me that he is a notable businessman, who has built up a company from zilch to multi-billion. Do you concede that SIG plc is notable (a page created before I found Wikipedia)? WP:BIO doesn't seem to have criteria for business persons but it does have "The person has received significant recognized awards or honors" which is the case with Adsetts, as a knighthood is surely a significant recognised honour. (I'll see if I can repair the broken link.) -- roundhouse 10:03, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- BTW, the PRODder is asked to alert the author to the PRODding - see the enormous template - and this has not occurred. -- roundhouse 13:19, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- Just because a company is notable doesn't mean its officers are automatically notable as well (and the "enormous" template suggests notification - it isn't required - and you seemed to be watching this anyway). Not a dog 16:49, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Resume
editYes, I agree about that - when new I was under the impression that others would come along enthusiastically and improve articles. I also agree about companies and notability of personnel but he did head the company in its formative years. It would help if the BIO re business persons gave more guidance ... -- roundhouse 17:20, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
