Article conflates two different locations in two different parts of North Carolina: a tidal river in north east North Carolina, and a town (with radio stations and fire hall) in south east North Carolina. The lat-long coordinates given are for the town. It should probably be split into two different articles, even though they would be tiny articles.192.4.0.12 (talk) 19:48, 9 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Furthermore, the radio stations listed seem to be bogus. Neither is in the FCC's database at http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/fm-query-broadcast-station-search , and they link to a Wikipedia page on an entirely different radio station. If there is no justification here in a month or so, I'll delete the radio station listings, and hope a 'bot doesn't restore them. 192.4.0.12 (talk) 23:32, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. I've kept town-related information here, moved the river-related content to the new North River (Albemarle Sound), and deleted the suspicous radio stations. —Steve Summit (talk) 11:19, 27 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
And, I belatedly realize, this article was originally about the river, and only later had some information about the unrelated town tacked on to it. I feel a little bad that I have, in effect, enshrined the hijacking. Oh, well.Steve Summit (talk) 19:03, 27 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
For the record, there's a second tidal river called North River nearby. I don't think it's worth creating an article for it (I can't even think of a good redlink title for it at List of rivers of North Carolina), but I've created an item for it at Wikidata, Q64084881. —Steve Summit (talk) 19:09, 27 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
Update: This article is now back to being about the river off of Albemarle Sound, with all the information about the unrelated town removed. —Steve Summit (talk) 10:25, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
