Population in the 1950s
editWhat was the population of North shore, New Zealand around the 1950's? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.89.40.148 (talk • contribs).
- Probably not quite 50,000 people. The population in 1961 was approximately 53,000, and it was already growing quickly. For more detail, see the second paragraph in this 1966 encyclopaedia article on patterns of settlement in Auckland. -- Avenue 00:39, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Name change
editI will request a move swap of this article to North Shore City, seeing that this is the official name. Cheers. MadMaxDog 09:11, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- I went ahead and did it; there was only a simple redirect in the way. -- Avenue 10:40, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Temporary Tag Placed Here regarding BLP
editI'm experimenting. I noticed on the Tom Hanks page that this tag, if clicked by a user when it appears on the Tom Hanks article, makes it VERY EASY to find great sources -- by clicking news, it finds ALL the news articles and weeds out all the junk. Great tool! But I can't get Google to work other ways. I'm putting this tag here temporarily (please leave it for the experiment) so I can find good sources to improve the "North Shore City" article -- thanx -- btw I don't know if this will work. I'll remove this tag when I'm done. Tomwsulcer (talk) 01:48, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Tomwsulcer

Look right above, inside the box -- see where it says (Find sources: North Shore City - news... I'm going to see if I can click on news to hopefully get good articles WITHOUT wading through all the Google crap. Tomwsulcer (talk) 01:48, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Tomwsulcer
Disabled the tag. By the way, it works -- great for finding suitable references. Tomwsulcer (talk) 03:00, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Tomwsulcer
