Rewrite needed
editIt's not a fjord, it's miles away from Trondheim and it's got nothing to do with salt production. In short the article needs a re-write. --Sherool 00:58, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
- I've finished the rewrite myself. The article is very stubby and need expantion though. --Sherool 23:26, 23 October 2005 (UTC)
weird sentence
edit"It can be regarded as a failed attempt at opening the Atlantic Ocean."
- What does that mean? Jieagles 00:10, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
I have expanded this a bit, so it should be easier to understand. If it is still a problem, then you need to read the plate tectonics article.

Rifting?
editThere is no link between the Mesozoic rift basin of the North Sea and the Norwegian Trench/Channel. It seems to be a purely glacial feature, although it may locally follow the basin margin, because that was the edge of the hard basement rocks and ice streams flow best on a soft substrate (at least according to our article).
