Plagiarized nonsense

edit

This article is plagiarized nonsense written by someone who took the words from a couple of other web sites, not reliable sources, then stuffed them together in various ways.

Plagiarized some of my words, in fact. Next time, get them right. 68.107.140.60 (talk) 13:21, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

I compared the article against its sources, but was unable to tell which parts had been plagiarized (admittedly, I didn't look too closely). If you are an expert on this species, perhaps you can rewrite the article. Thanks. howcheng {chat} 16:22, 14 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
Seems a little harsh. The article is too basic to be nonsense. The complainant might prove his/hers credentials by writing a suitable replacement? Rosser Gruffydd 17:31, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
The problem I have with the current citation is that the source says, "...In 1988 a terrestrial species, Nostoc commune, was found to harbor a previously unidentified UV-A/B absorbing pigment. This protective pigment has enabled them to survive not only while under hydration-related stress, but in areas of extreme UV radiation as well." and the article just says, "It also contains pigments that absorb long and medium wavelength ultraviolet radiation, which enables it to survive in places with high levels of radiation." It was shortened very poorly.71.63.160.210 (talk) 23:48, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
