References

edit

Other than the fine, nothing else is referenced on this article. It needs more references otherwise it loses all encyclopedic value. --Crossmr 03:17, 16 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Added some sources and removed the tag although some of it is direct copy from the corporate site (ie ... this industry), whats the apprpriate tag for that?

We can't accept that text, its a copyright violation. If you want to rewrite it into your own words and use the link as a reference in the article you can do that.--Crossmr 15:31, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hello- I took some of the non-objective posts about NL not caring about their customers out. I added some of the other things the company has done and tried to reference them. This is my first time editing on Wiki, so I apologize if I didn't do the best job. I just thought the article was very inaccurate and opinionated before. Also, I don't know where the writer of the article got that information on Garcia heading a team of 22 programmers and I don't see how it is relevent to NovaLogic. I left it because I guess the mods thought it was okay. Feb 1, 2007 12:07PST --Cleofus
Those are good pieces of information but see if they can be worked into a paragraph format rather than a bullet point. Its preferential to avoid lists whenever possible.--Crossmr 23:43, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:NovaLogic-logo.png

edit

Image:NovaLogic-logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:36, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Game list needs ordered by date

edit

It does. scatman839 (talk) 14:36, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorted them by name, since games were added and the date sorting got screwed up (was weird anyway, not at all intuitive, the name should've been preceded by a date). It might be worth sorting them by series as well (i.e. Comanche, Delta Force, Combat Sim). Alexandru.rosu (talk) 20:00, 29 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Novalogic and Twitter

edit

Why was the bit about Novalogic stating that problems were caused by their server hardware removed ? It was perfectly valid statement by Novalogic (via Twitter)

Novaworld

edit

I have to disagree about the removal of the Novaworld article. It wasn't about complaints - it was about the problems Novalogic were having at that time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.105.154.126 (talk) 17:43, 27 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Is this company owned by EA, or are they private enough to where EA doesnt own it as a subsidiary?

Status of Novalogic

edit

As far as I've read, from any corner of the internet, Novalogic is still owned by John Garcia, because if EA owned it be sure they would of done something with it by now (around the net multiple people are asking if EA owns them). There's a couple ex-Novalogic employees (according to them on the computer screen at least), that have been saying that most of the employees left after Nova's "heyday" because of poor management. (See https://www.reddit.com/r/pcgaming/comments/355wt0/what_happened_to_novalogic/cr2hf7c ). The website, facebook page, games, are all just frozen in time - and they will make announcements on their server portal maintenance on the FB page.. but get this. They don't moderate their forums, or respond to any feedback at all. No game updates, no new games. It's like they're a gost in the shell. Just enough life being pumped into them to pay for the online forums and multiplayer portal for their over-10-yo games. They constantly resell packs of their games and it's a good bet that's why they keep the multiplayer portal open.

After Novalogic tried to sue for the copyright to the Delta Force name/idea (funny to read the judge's comment's on that one!) they stopped communicating with anyone at all, and people have been thinking they spent all of their last resources to bring their legal case to court. And instead of admitting that "Angel Falls" wasn't coming out because they have no money, it seems the CEO is literally scamming people out of money - you realize at this point it is eight years since they developed one line of code! For eight years they have been selling games to milk the market for what is a ghost company that will not communicate. I am only here to post this because I followed them for a long time, and did lots of beta tests for the new releases and I looked up to them as a company, the same way many people looked up to Westwood, the developer of the C&C games and Dune games. Can ANYONE get them to respond to E-mail, Letters, etc? They will not post anything, communicate, to anyone on their facebook page or web forums. I don't really have any concrete sources but hey I know lots of folks are scratching their heads. Maybe someone here can help enlighten me and others.

The community will never forget the impact Novalogic's games had on us! Maybe some day this guy running the company will step down and someone can make something good of it again! If you ever read this John Garcia, you are the butt end of jokes all over the Internet.
