Merge into Radiation pattern?
editI feel the subject of this stub, a "null" in an antenna's radiation pattern, is not an important enough concept to merit its own article. It is already explained in Radiation pattern. In order to explain the concept fully will require repeating a great deal of the explanation from that article, such as:
What a radiation pattern is, that the radiation pattern of an antenna or electromagnetic source is the superposition of the radiation from each segment of moving charge in it, that at some angles the radiation from different parts of the antenna interferes constructively, adding together to produce a maximum (lobe) of signal strength, while at other angles the radiation from different parts of the antenna interferes destructively, canceling to result in zero signal strength; this is a null. Also that the larger an antenna is with respect to the wavelength the more nulls it has, and that from the fact that electromagnetic radiation is dipole radiation, due to the hairy ball theorem any coherent source of electromagnetic waves must have at least one null.
In addition, the word null (disambiguation) has an enormous number of different meanings, and thus an enormous number of articles attached to it already; we don't need another. --ChetvornoTALK 06:35, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
