editI am reassessing the article, which I am the original creator of, as start class. Much of the history as it now appears seems to be a copy/paste from the Historic Mobile Preservation Society website by User:Msrtrois (revision history), and being a copy/paste clearly violates copyright. I intend to rework the information and find additional sources in the near future. Altairisfar 18:36, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- Completed some of the revisions, copyright issues should now be resolved. Still needs additional references, preferably published. Altairisfar 20:58, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
I am a docent at the Oakleigh Historic Complex, and the article is worded in such a way as to be a short synopsis of our regular tour. This was NOT a copy/paste from the historic society's webpage--it is my own creation. Much of the information included in the history section comes from U.S. Census Bureau records, Mobile County Probate Court records, Mobile County Tax Rolls 1825-1865, Irwin family correspondence from HMPS archives, and Mobile City directories spanning the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. Limited information was gleaned from "Oakleigh" by Lucy Nelson, published in 1955 by HMPS. Hopefully this helps with the citing process. I am not familiar enough with the functions of Wikipedia to add these sources. Thanks. Msrtrois (talk) 22:00, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
