Improvements
editThe Occupation has a permit and one that allows tents. (This is different from many other occupations which either do not have permits, or are not allowed tents.)
The Occupation uses the Friends Center (American Friends Service Committee) which is located 2-3 blocks away to hold events in cold or rainy weather (and also for cooking). These events include workshops, working group meetings, and the General Assembly.
It'd be nice to have a section on the Dilworth Plaza construction project as that is a major point of conflict between the Occupation and the City. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.98.207.216 (talk) 20:09, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
"peaceful" - bad choice of words
edit"October 27th - Occupy Philadelphia encampment reaches 23rd day, remaining one of the most peaceful "occupy" protests".
Almost all of the occupation movements have been peaceful - the violence has come from the police (see the marine who got shot in Oakland, and other protesters who have been beat, gassed, and dragged). I don't think you can say that trespassing in a park or putting up a tent or refusing to leave the street is an act of "violence". The problem with this wording is that it makes it sound like the protesters are the source of the violence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.98.207.216 (talk) 20:14, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
