As a page of this name was once removed, I expect, as a common courtesy, to be contacted if anyone has an issue with this article. It has been started in an unbiased fasion and in line with the other "Occupy" pages that have found acceptance with the senior editors. Thank-you.Paradise coyote (talk) 20:16, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

Add pages for other Occupy Canada protests or delete Occupy Toronto page

I believe that there should be pages for the Occupy protests in some of the other large cities in Canada, like Occupy Vancouver and Occupy Montreal, or this page should be deleted seeing as it is pretty much covered by Occupy Canada. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.98.201.211 (talk) 09:15, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

It should be merged back into Occupy Canada, as this isn't a significant protest (and in fact seems smaller than many of the other going on around Canada). Many of the protests in downtown Toronto over the past few years, which have made the news, have not been made into articles. A protest in of itself isn't notable until something notable happens or is accomplished by that protest. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 16:26, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
It should not be merged. Toronto has it's own unique reaction to unfolding events, as does every city. Also, as of October 27th, the protestors have not been removed as they have in other cities, they continue to protest, and they have a demonstration on Bay Street planned for 1pm.Paradise coyote (talk) 15:24, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
1pm? This is clearly a bunch of college students, too lazy to wake up at 7am and protest when all the people that work downtown are going downtown. However, that's just my cynical view of this protest. Toronto has not had a unique reaction; it's been the same in every city. It's been the same every day as well; same lack of anything to report, same two media outlets (the Star and CBC), same nothing. It's not complicated to have the Toronto protest occupy one section of Occupy Canada, but to have an article that repeats the same things but with Toronto in place of Canada? That's redundancy. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 15:42, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
Pretty harsh stuff... As a hard working father who has exercised his right to protest in the past, I take offense at your denigration of people you don't even know. Waka Jawaka.Paradise coyote (talk) 00:59, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

The article needs to be updated to reflect the fact that the protest was evicted from St.James Park on Nov 23rd. Theonlysilentbob (talk) 15:21, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
