I've updated the page to around what I wanted, since it is only starting out and hasn't got the same available content as other web comic pages. I plan on adding either an image or sample strip, providing I can get consent of the Author.Vimy 101 04:08, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability Discussion

edit
I'm not sure this is going to meet the notability requirements for web content, but I'll give you a while to improve it. -- Flyguy649 talk contribs 03:07, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

What about adding some pictures of the author, Meredith Gran? There are a few CC-licensed photos of her on Flickr that I uploaded. ````AM —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.117.162.170 (talk) 21:14, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm almost positive that the material citations exist to document the notability. It has been reviewed a number of times by sources more significant than personal blogs. It is published in print and has a presence in the industry. What seems to be needed is for someone independent of the author to compile this documentation. Some starting places: comixtalk review; google search, convention websites. Jbruder (talk) 20:55, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Being a Web Cartoonists' Choice Awards winner and nominee, the comic is notable. Dread Lord CyberSkull ✎☠ 23:05, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

"While initially relying on the juxtaposition of the two protagonists, Octopus Pie also has the "feel" of an indie comic, focusing on young urbanites, usually from Gen Y."

Someone chaaaaange it

The update schedule has Changed

edit

if you go to the site it no longer updates regularly. it's a good comic but i wonder if it meets the notability requirements. maybe this page should be recommended for deletion? 128.153.207.152 (talk) 03:31, 11 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • The comic is actually still made at the same frequency, but the site updates in chunks so as to allow readers to read a less disjointed story. Take a look at the dates of the comic in the previous storyline and notice that the comic has continued at a pace of three comics per week. How does a change in update schedule make Octopus Pie no longer meet the web content notability guidelines? JeffreyAtW (talk) 17:29, 16 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • It doesn't matter if the comic is made at the same frequency, the update schedule is how often a person can visit the page and expect to find new content. While I agree that the comic is still notable, I disagree that a reasonable person could still claim the update frequency is MWF. In fact, I changed it. 72.233.192.226 (talk) 15:32, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Updated The Plot Arc Section

edit

It was badly overdue, like 2 years overdue. Feel free to fix it up if anybody touches this page anytime soon. 74.67.122.72 (talk) 22:18, 21 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
